Position(s) I am Applying for:

Commercial Finance Associate (5+ years): All Locations

If you’ve honed your skills supporting commercial finance deals and now you’re ready to take the initiative and lead, join Holland & Hart’s thriving commercial and industrial finance practice.

Lenders and borrowers alike are engaged in financing and refinancing transactions at a breakneck pace. Capitalize on the financing boom and advance your career with first-chair responsibility on mid-market transactions supporting business-critical endeavors for clients and bank customers in a wide range of industries.

Businesses and financial companies trust our team to understand their needs, mitigate their risks, and offer pragmatic solutions to effectively and efficiently structure and close transactions that achieve their business goals.

You’ll work with lenders, borrowers, and servicers around the country on a gamut of financing deals, from financing acquisitions, working capital and fixed assets through conventional, leveraged, asset-based and mezzanine loans, receivables factoring, and equipment leases. You’ll also counsel banks and other financial businesses on mergers and acquisitions as well as regulatory compliance, including licensing and consumer finance programs.

The best part? We have 13 awesome office locations across our footprint and you choose where you want to work! Hybrid work is available.

Here’s What You Can Expect:

Hands-on experience and ownership of work from day one—yes, you will run deals end-to-end

Handle sophisticated “money center” deals with Am Law firms, while you enjoy the great views and quality of life in the Mountain West.

Real mentorship and training from experienced partners who are truly invested in you and your professional growth.

Frequent feedback, including clearly defined core competencies and benchmarks so you know what is expected of you.

A three-tiered career progression approach designed to prepare you to become a business owner/partner if that’s your goal. Our levels approach allows you progress through levels at your own individual pace. It’s not based only on years in, like a lock-step system, and we do not have an “up or out” policy.  If you’re not interested in partnership, there are also career pathways for attorneys to become strong, technical lawyers.

Position requirements:
Ideal candidates will have five or more years of law firm experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in commercial and industrial (C&I) financing transactions. Experience with banking regulation and consumer finance compliance is a plus, but not required.

You are pragmatic, team-oriented, enjoy collaborating, and have strong written and oral communication skills.

Compensation and Expectations:
Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements. As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Holland & Hart is providing a good faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado): $210,000-$270,000; salary range for other firm locations will align with market rates.

Explanation of Voluntary Self Identification Opportunity for EEO-1 and Mansfield Certification:
Holland & Hart LLP (the “Firm”) may be required by federal law to compile and file a report (referred to as an “EEO-1”) with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The report contains aggregated data of applicants’ gender, race and/or ethnicity, and does not identify applicants by name. Some states in which the Firm does business may also require the collection of such information. We provide every applicant, current employee and newly hired employee the option to voluntarily supply the requested information and take advantage of firm-sponsored programs and initiatives that may benefit them.

Having achieved Mansfield Certification and Mansfield Certification Plus every year, Holland & Hart continues its efforts to advance the representation of diverse lawyers in leadership by various strategic initiatives including ensuring that an all-inclusive applicant base is considered for attorney positions.

The Firm gathers race/ethnicity data for inclusion in an EEO-1 report and Mansfield Certification report. While the Firm may be required by law to file an EEO-1 report and the information you supply will help facilitate this process, your participation is entirely voluntary and the status of your application or your potential employment will not be affected by your decision to participate or to refrain from participating in this data collection process.

The firm also gathers data regarding veteran status and LGBTQ+, both of which are not required for EEO-1 reporting purposes, however data related to LGBTQ+ data is requested as part of the Mansfield Certification reporting. Your decision to provide the information is also entirely voluntary, and your candidacy will not be affected by your decision to participate or not.
